Abstract
A microstrip antenna is suggested in this study for use in close-range biomedical applications. Miniaturization and biocompatibility are the key design considerations for this proposed antenna. It is also important to conserve energy to increase the lifespan of the medical device. Operating in the Medical spectrum (ISM) is the implantable antenna. The proposed antenna bandwidth is 916 MHz which covers the ISM band. At the 2.4 GHz resonance frequency, the simulated return loss is -25.79 dB. By using the microstrip feed line approach, microstrip antenna analysis and design are carried out. The return loss, VSWR, bandwidth, and radiation pattern are determined from the simulation results by using CST software.
