The aim is to minimize the cost of energy purchased from the utility grid and to maximize the utilization of solar photovoltaic generation while optimally scheduling the battery energy storage system subjected to the constraints - state of charge limits, charging and discharging rates of BESS. This algorithm utilizes different scenarios generated from the forecasted quantities to incorporate the uncertainty associated with them. Practical data collected from the testbed at Gujarat International Finance Tec city is used as the input parameters of the presented algorithm. The simulation results are compared with the base case scenario which does not use optimization. In comparison, it was confirmed that the presented algorithm minimizes the cost of energy purchased from the grid by optimally dispatching the BESS.falseBESS | energy management algorithm | grid-connected microgrid | linear programming | solar PV generationCost-Effective Energy Management of Grid-Connected PV and BESS: A Case StudyConference Paper4122-4127May 201988881426cpConference Proceeding6
