An optimized motor design and efficient control are necessary for optimum performance in a complete drive range. The paper presents a comprehensive performance analysis of an optimized FeASynRM to validate its feasibility as a viable alternative for mid-mount electric two-wheeler. The FeASynRM rotor design has been optimized and analyzed using the finite element (FE) platform (ANSYS Maxwell and Simplorer). Once the simulation results are optimum, the machine is manufactured, and experimentation has been performed for a broad torque speed range to validate the design and control. The paper elaborates on the machine performance obtained through an FE-based platform and experiments performed for different operating regions, validating motor for mid-mount electric two-wheeler application.falseElectric vehicle (EV) | Ferrite Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Machine (FeASynRM) | Field-oriented control (FOC) | Finite Element Analysis (FEA) | Magneto-motive Force (MMF) | Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA) | Reluctance torque | SaliencyPerformance Analysis of a Ferrite-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor for Mid-Mounted Electric Two-WheelerConference Paper2768348620240cpJournal0
