Abstract
A paper entitled “Array-derived rotational seismic motions: revisited” by Castellani (Bull Earthq Eng 15:(3) 813–825, 2017) has reported a generalize framework on array analysis for rotational ground motions. The paper also seeks to illustrate the procedure with respect to the rocking component. This short communication assesses the accuracy of this new framework. Related and published studies ignored by the author are revisited to identify the original contributions in his paper.
