Abstract
High computational load involved in nonlinear adaptive controllers acts as a bottleneck in the deployment of large multichannel active noise control systems. In order to circumvent this limitation, this paper proposes a computationally efficient multichannel nonlinear active noise control scheme based on the principle of partial updates. Simulation study reveals significant reduction in computational complexity with remarkable noise cancellation performance of the proposed active noise control system. © 2013 IEEE.
